Irene Slaton was the daughter of Samuel H. Slaton and his wife Edna Viola (Viola). Viola was the wife of Samuel H. Slaton. I believe there is a transcription error because census records indicate that Viola was born about 1870.
Samuel H. Slaton was the son of William J. Slaton and Priscilla Emeline (Emeline) Sellers. In turn, William J. Slaton was the brother of my third great grandfather Thomas Fielden Slaton. So Samuel H. Slaton was the nephew of Thomas Fielden Slaton.
