Tobias Peters Jr. was the son of Tobias Peters Sr. and Amelia. Tobias Peters Sr. was born about 1800 in Virginia. I do not know who these people were, but they look for all the world like they may have been related to my Peters family of Anderson County, Tennessee. The Peters family of Anderson County was founded by Tobias Peters Sr. 1776/79-1831 born in Virginia and by Henry Peters Sr. 1769-1851/59 born in Pennsylvania. Clearly, the Tobias Peters Sr. of Anderson County born 1776/1779 was not the same person as Tobias Peters Sr. who was born in 1800. But also, the Tobias Peters Sr. who was born in 1800 was definitely not the son of the Tobias Peters Sr. who was born 1776/1779. The older Tobias Peters Sr. had a son named Tobias Peters Jr. who was born 4 Jan 1819 in Anderson County, Tennessee. |
