Ichabod Peters was the son of Robert Ichabod Peters and Amanda Davidson. Robert Ichabod Peters was the son of James Peters, and the grandson of Tobias Peters Sr. and Elizabeth Rachel Scarborough. Ichabod was probably born in Morgan County, Tennessee. The family was enumerated in the 1850 census in Morgan County and in the 1870 census in White County, Tennessee. They have not been located in the 1860 census, and the date when the family moved from Morgan County to White County is not known for sure. Ichabod's wife was Martha Jane (Mattie) Brumley. |
