Nora Vivian Belcher's age 22 married first Elza (Elzie) Dillavou, son of John Dillavou and Emma. Nora married second William Carlos (Carlos) Bryan. Carlos was the son of Silas Amberson Bryan and Amanda Melzina (Mandy) Slaton. As such, Carlos was the nephew of my great grandfather William Harley (Harley) Bryan and the grandnephew of my second great grandmother Susan A. Slaton. Therefore, Carlos was the first cousin of my grandfather Emmert Oral Bryan as a Bryan, and Carlos was Emmert's second cousin as a Slaton. Nora's first child was Richard Elza Dillavou, born 7 Jan 1908. The census entry is hard to read, but it appears to list Richard's name as Buster. |
