Jacob Bryan was the son of Enoch G. Bryan and Rebecca Moyer. It is not yet proven, but I believe that Enoch was the great grandson of my seventh great grandfather Cornelius O'Bryan. Which is to say, I believe that Enoch was the son of Cornelius Bryan Sr. and the grandson of John Andrew Bryan. I am descended from John Andrew Bryan's brother Thomas Bryan Sr. Jacob was born in Ohio and his father Enoch G. Bryan was born in Virginia. If he was Jacob's father, then Enoch was born in Rockingham County, Virginia. The 1850 census says that Rebecca Moyer was born in Pennsylvania, but this census entry suggests that she was born in Germany. I do not know which birth place is correct. Margaret E. (Maggie) Mauk was the daughter of Michael Mauk and Juliet Wilson. |
