William Jennings Bryan age 28 was the son of Charles William Brady Bryan and Annie May Deweese. Charles William Brady Bryan was the son of Allen Dennis Bryan and Cassandra Frances (Cassie) Damron. Allen Dennis Bryan was the son of William G. Bryan and Lucinda (Lucy) Cate. As such, Allen Dennis Bryan was the nephew of both of my fourth great grandparents Thomas C. Bryan Sr. and Nancy Cate, and Allen was the double first cousin of my third great grandfather Peter H. Bryan. I do not know the surname of William Jennings Bryan's wife Ethel. One might suspect that Ethel was related to Lena Kassebaum, but I have not been able to determine how or if the Bryan family was related to Lena. |
