Pauline W. Leedom age 2 2/12 married Benjamin Earl (Earl) Stratton in 1946. Earl was the son of George Virgil Stratton and Cassie Rene Scarbrough, and the grandson of Tolbert Ross (Ross) Scarbrough and Cordelia Rene (Cordie) Cole. Aunt Cordie was the daughter of my second great grandparents William Cole and Vesta Clay (Vestie) England. As such Aunt Cordie was the sister of my great grandmother Sallie Jane Cole, and Cassie Rene Scarbrough was the first cousin of my grandfather Ernest Lester (Lester) Peters Sr. Pauline was the daughter of Paul Leedom age 40 and Hazel M. Davis age 22. Hazel was evidently Paul's second wife because they were married about 1927 but Paul was first married about 1920. |
