Aris T. Cox was the son of Matthew Cox and Susan Lucy (Lucy) Dickerson. My interest in Aris is that he was in Wilkes County, North Carolina at the same time my fourth great grandfather Reuben Cox was living in Wilkes County as a boy. Also, Aris T. Cox had a son named Reuben Cox. However, Aris's Reuben was born in 1803, and my Reuben was born in 1786. Also, Aris himself was only about 12 years older than my Reuben. Aris's wife was Ruth Box. |
