1850 Census, Walker County, Georgia

Rahab Langford age 55 was probably the sister of Rev. James Langford who was the father of Rebecca Adaline Langford.  Rebecca married Robert Reedy Bryan.  Robert was the brother of my third great grandfather Peter Hubbard Bryan.

I chased down this census entry because the Robert Reedy Bryan family bible included data on both the Langford family and the Swanson family.  For example, John Swanson and Rahab Langford were married on 23 Dec 1822.  Edward R. Swanson was born 28 Oct 1823 (Edward was no longer living with the family in 1850).  William E. C. Swanson was born 30 Apr 1825.  Patrick H. R. Swanson was born 18 Aug 1826;
