Thomas Means Reneau was my sixth great grandfather. I am descended through his daughter Narcissus (Cessie) Reneau. Thomas was born in Virginia and he died in Harrison County, Indiana. Thomas was listed on the 1800 tax list for Jefferson County, Tennessee. Cessie was married in 1801 in Jefferson County, Tennessee. So Thomas must have lived in Tennessee for a while before moving to Indiana. Thomas's wife Jane Ramsey died in 1851. She was living with Thomas in 1830, but I do not know where she was living in 1840. Thomas was the son of John Reno and Susannah Thorn. I do know know who the parents were for Jane. |
