Eula Mae Slaton was the daughter of Joseph Porter (Port) Slaton and Minnie Ann Cox. Joseph Porter (Port) Slaton was the son of Francis Marion (Frank) Slaton and Mary Anne Moore. As such, Uncle Port was the nephew of my second great grandmother Susan A. Slaton. Minnie Ann Cox was the daughter of my great grandparents George Jackson Cox and Clarissa Loretta (Retta or Rett) Nichols. As such, Aunt Minnie was the sister of my grandmother Ruby Priscilla Cox. The net result of these relationships is that Eula was my father's first cousin as a Cox and she was my father's second cousin once removed as a Slaton. Haskell Ray Bolden was the son of Henry Green Bolden and Mary E. |

Ediwn Lee (Lee) Rimmer was the son of Joseph E. (Joe) Rimmer and Ella M. Cox. As such, he was the nephew of my great grandfather George Jackson Cox. Maude Acton was the daughter of Martin W. Acton and Hettie. E. This census entry suggests that Lee Rimmer was Maude's second husband, and that she had a son Alger Acton with a previous husband named Acton. However, the 1910 census entry for Martin Acton suggests that Alger was Maude's son born out of wedlock, and that Maude was Martin's daughter. In addition, I wonder if Alger was Maude's son at all. Perhaps Alger was Maude's nephew, and was being raised by Maude before she married Lee Rimmer. |
