William Cross age 54 was the son of Solomon Cross b. 1767 and Catharine.  William's wife was Mariam (Mary) Morman age 44.

Solomon Cross b. 1767 was the second cousin of my fourth great grandfather William Cross the Revolutionary War drummer boy.  So William the drummer was only distantly related to the Indiana branch of the family.  Solomon's parents John Cross and Edith Wiley were born in Baltimore County, Maryland, as was William the drummer.

John Reno age 75 was my fifth great grandfather.  He and his wife Narcissus (Cessie) Reneau were the parents of my fourth great grandfather William Michael (Michael) ReneauJohn and Cessie were first cousins who married, and their surnames were different spellings of the same name. The Reneau spelling was the original spelling.

At the time of the 1850 census, John Reno was living with his daughter Jane age 44 and his son-in-law John Pratt Edmonds age 47.
