I believe that Daniel's wife was Elizabeth Rebecca Cobb, daughter of James Madison Cobb and Mary (Polly) Peters. Polly Peters was the daughter of Tobias Peters Sr. and Elizabeth Rachel Scarborough of Anderson County, Tennessee. Elizabeth Rebecca Cobb was really born in Aug 1849 rather than Aug 1839. She was listed again in the 1910 census in Allen County, and her age was correct in 1910. The length of marriage as given in this census entry is wrong. Daniel was married to Josephine at the time of the 1880 census. My guess is that the length of marriage was a collective length of all their marriages. This was the third marriage for Daniel and the second marriage for Elizabeth. |
