Cassie Bell Portwood age 5 married Roy Earl (R.E.) Scarbrough after 1951.  R.E. was the son of Tolbert Ross (Ross) Scarbrough and Cordelia Rene (Cordie) Cole, and the grandson of my second great grandparents William Cole and Vesta Clay (Vestie) England.  As such, Aunt Cordie was the sister of my great grandmother Sallie Jane Cole, and R.E. was the first cousin of my grandfather Ernest Lester (Lester) Peters.  Cassie was R.E.'s second wife, and they had no issue.  All of R.E.'s descendants are through his first wife Julia Ann (Julie) Long who died in 1951.

Cassie was the daughter of Thomas William (William) Portwood age 43 and Stella Loretta (Rettie) Hyatt age 42.

Uless G. England age 26 was the son of Wiley R. England Jr. and Malinda (Linday) Goad.  Wiley R. England Sr. was the son of my fourth great grandparents Titus England and Elizabeth.  As such, Wiley R. England Sr. was the brother of my third great grandfather John England, and Wiley R. England Jr. was the first cousin of my second great grandmother Vesta Clay England.

Uless's wife was Grace Sawders age 16.  They were married on 6 Mar 1918 in Claiborne County, Tennessee.
