H. Richard VanMatre age 6 married Gloria Peggy Cox about 1951. Gloria was the daughter of John Harvey Cline (Cline) Cox and Daisy B. Miller, the granddaughter of William Nelson Cox and Mary Ella (Ella) Cline, and the great granddaughter of my second great grandparents John Tivis Cox and Nancy Ann Pierce. As such, William Cox was the brother of my great grandfather George Jackson Cox, Cline Cox was the first cousin of my grandmother Ruby Priscilla Cox, and Gloria was the second cousin of my father. Richard was the son of E. A. VanMantre age 37 and Mattie age 39, but I have no information on the family other than is what is in this census entry. |
