I really don't know if this James Bray was one of mine or not. His birth in Tennessee makes it possible, but his father's birth in North Carolina makes it seem unlikely. |

Given that James was born in Kentucky, he was probably one of mine. But if so, I don't know how he fits into the family. |

I believe that Robert Teasler was really Robert Teasley (with variant spellings possible such as Teasley and Teasly). Robert Teasley married Minerva Adeline (Adeline) Bray 25 Sep 1884 in Howell County, Missouri. Minerva Adeline (Adeline) Bray was the daughter of my third great grandparents Edward Payne Bray and Anna F. Messamore, and she was the sister of my second great grandfather Joseph A. (Joe) Bray. Minerva Adeline (Adeline) Bray was still living with her parents in Tennessee in the 1880 census. I cannot find any sign of a Robert Teasley in Tennessee in 1880, so my best guess is that he was already in Missouri in 1880, and that this was him. The 1880 census CD's from the LDS have the other family members listed as the Howford family. I believe that Harford or Hartford is a better transcription, but the handwriting is very difficult to read. |
