Mary Ann (Polly) McGee age 10 was born on 7 Jun 1839. She married Jasper Newton Cobb on 18 Nov 1866 in Sullivan County, Missouri. Jasper Newton Cobb was the son of Mary (Polly) Peters and James Madison Cobb, and the grandson of Tobias Peters Sr. and Elizabeth Rachel Scarborough. A large contingent of Anderson County folks moved to Missouri in the 1840's, including several Cobbs and Peters. Jacob McGee and his family were a part of the move, and they moved to Missouri in 1841. |

Silas Peters and Anna Powell were married 21 Feb 1839 in Odessa, Lafayette County, Missouri. There is some debate about whether Silas was the son of James Peters and Nancy Peters (cousins who married) of Virginia, or the son of Tobias Peters Sr. and Elizabeth Rachel Scarborough of Anderson County, Tennessee. I believe the latter is the case and is proven by a series of Anderson County deeds where the children of Tobias sold their shares of Tobias' land after his death. One of the deeds was Silas and Anna Peters of Lafayette County, Missouri to John Key of Anderson County, Tennssee on 1 Jun 1839. Nancy Jane Peters was born 15 Oct 1839. William Clark Peters was born 27 Mar 1841. John Wesley Peters was born 24 Oct 1842. Elizabeth Rachel Peters was born 30 Apr 1844. Mary Ann Peters was born 4 Mar 1846. Silas Powell Peters was born 2 Mar 1848. James Henry Peters was born 27 Jan 1850. |
