Richard Jason Peters was the son of Silas Peters and Anna Powell, and the grandson of Tobias Peters Sr. and Elizabeth Rachel Scarborough. Richard was apparently named for his grandfather Richard Powell and for his uncle Jason Peters. Richard apparently didn't know where his father was born, because Silas was born in Tennessee rather than in North Carolina. Richard's second wife was Sarah Price. They were married shortly before the 1910 census. |
