Foy McKindred Cox was the son of Abraham Foy Cox and Margaret Albina
O'Dell. As such, he was the grandson of my third great grandparents
Riley Cox and
Frances (Franky) Price,
and he was the nephew of my
second great grandfather
John Tivis Cox.
Estella Hardman was the daughter of Jehu R. (John) Hardman and
Caroline V. (Carrie) Osbourne. The spelling of Jehu's name in the
census was creative to say the least.
The census transcription is correct with respect to who was listed as
a truck farmer. But the original enumeration was obviously incorrect
in that it must have been Jehu Hardman who was the truck farmer, not his
two year old granddaughter.
