Paralee Phoebe (Phoebe) Bryan age 57 was the daughter of Peter Grantham Bryan and Maria Wright. Phoebe's husband was James Jasper Adams. Peter Grantham Bryan was the son of Allen Ludwell Bryan and Phoebe Boggess. As such, Peter Grantham Bryan was the nephew of my fourth great grandfather Thomas C. Bryan Sr. and the first cousin of my third great grandfather Peter H. Bryan. |

Joe David Adams age 26 was the son of James Jasper Adams and Paralee Phoebe (Phoebe) Bryan. Phoebe was the daughter of Peter Grantham Bryan and Maria Wright. Peter Grantham Bryan was the son of Allen Ludwell Bryan and Phoebe Boggess. As such, Peter Grantham Bryan was the nephew of my fourth great grandfather Thomas C. Bryan Sr. and the first cousin of my third great grandfather Peter H. Bryan. Joe's wife was Mae Meek. Chester Meek age 18 was Mae's brother. Chester's census entry is transcribed correctly, and I believe that he was born in May 1882 rather than in May 1892 as indicated in the census entry. The census entry for "John Walter" is transcribed correctly. However, I believe that he was Mae's father and that his name should have been recorded as John Walter Meek. Clearly, there are problems with this census entry. In addition to the aforementioned problems, Mae's entry says that her father was born in Mississippi but John's entry says he was born in Alabama. |
