Richard George was probably the son of Reuben George, and was probably the brother of Presley George Sr. from line 13 (see below). I believe that Presley George Sr. was my fourth great grandfather. However, Richard George has to be viewed as a candidate. My third great grandmother Rebecca Frances George was born in 1816, probably in Stokes County. |

James George and Nancy Vest are candidates to have been the parents of my third great grandmother Rebecca Frances George. However, James and Nancy were not married until 1807. So this doesn't appear to have been James and Nancy. Also, they were born about 1786 and 1788, respectively. If the age of this James George is correct, then he would have had to have been an uncle of the James George who married Nancy Vest. James was the son of Reuben George and unknown. |
