This is Elizabeth Linville. Her husband was Wilcher
C. Slaton. Wilcher married Penelope C. France
in 1867, and was living with Penelope in Jefferson County,
Tennessee in 1870. I have not found a divorce
record Elizabeth and Wilcher, but I can only conclude
that they must have been divorced prior to 1867.
Wilcher C. (Billy or Buck) Slaton was the son of William Slayden
and Susannah Flippin. As such, he ws the brother of my third great
grandfather Thomas Fielden (Tom) Slaton.
