1850 Census, Wayne County, North Carolina

Cox Silas 45 m w farmer $9000 Wayne Co., NC
Charity 16 f w Wayne Co., NC attended school
Penina 15 f w Wayne Co., NC attended school

My fourth great grandparents Reuben Cox and Susannah Padgett had a son named Silas Cox who was born about the same time as this Silas Cox.  However, I think that the Silas Cox who was the son of Reuben and Susannah was living in Caldwell County in 1850.

I believe that this Silas Cox was the son of Micajah Cox Jr. and Sarah Holowell.

Thomas 18 m w labr on farm Wayne Co., NC attended school

Sarah 11 f w Wayne Co., NC attended school

I believe that Micajah Cox from dwelling number 64 and Silas Cox from dwelling number 59 were second cousins.  I believe this Micajah was the son of William Cox Sr., and that the common ancestor (g grandfather of Silas from dwelling number 59 and Micajah from dwelling number 64) was Richard Cox.
