Reuben Cox and Susannah Padgett were my fourth great grandparents.  They were married 10 Dec 1805 in Wilkes County, North Carolina.  Silas was born in 1806, Ambrose was born in 1808, and Polly was born in 1810.  My third great grandfather Riley Cox was not born until 1812, and hence was not enumerated in the 1810 census.

I have not yet determined who Reuben's parents were.  Susannah's father was James Padgett.

Aaron Cox was very likely the brother of my fourth great grandfather Reuben Cox.  Aaron and Reuben were living next door to each other in 1810, and both of them moved to Tennessee.

James Padgett was my fifth great grandfather.  His daughter Susannah Padgett married Reuben Cox, and they were my fourth great grandparents.

  45-?? ????-1765 1 1 Thomas Cox

I don't know who this Thomas Cox was.  The main question is whether he might have been the father of my fourth great grandfather Reuben Cox.  Thomas Cox was living only one house from James Padgett here in 1810 as he was back in 1790.  James Padgett was the father of Reuben Cox's wife Susannah Padgett.  It confuses things that Thomas was missing from the 1800 census.

Lucy Cox 00000/10001

  00-09 1801-1810 0 1
  10-15 1795-1800 0 0

  26-44 1766-1784 0 0
  45-?? ????-1765 0 1 Lucy

It's very difficult to know whom this might have been.  Lucy was living very close to Thomas Cox and to James Padgett.  In the 1790 census, David Cox, Thomas Cox, and James Padgett were all living close to each other.  Hence, one might guess that Lucy was the widow of David Cox.  But even if so, I do not know who David Cox was.
