Deed between Philip Davis & William Davis, states - beginning line is above Thomas Coxes. (Philip and William Davis may have been his relatives on his Mother's side.) 12-6-1805 #2089 Thomas Cox, enters 50 ac. on a branch of Beaver Creek, border begins, James McGee line on east side of the branch & runs W; Includes best vacant land.
Thomas Cox may have been the father of my fourth great grandfather Reuben Cox. Reuben was born in Wilkes County in 1786, several years before these deeds were executed. (These deed abstracts sent to me by Ella Keller.)
