James Broyles age 24 later married Rebecca Bryan, daughter of Enoch George Bryan Sr. and Rebecca Moyer. See dwelling number 230 below. It is not yet proven, but I believe that Enoch was the great grandson of my seventh great grandfather Cornelius O'Bryan. Which is to say, I believe that Enoch was the son of Cornelius Bryan Sr. and the grandson of John Andrew Bryan. I am descended from John Andrew Bryan's brother Thomas Bryan Sr. The parents of James Broyles were John Moses Broyles and Nancy Burnside. |

I believe that Enoch George Bryan Sr. was the son of Cornelius Bryan Sr. Cornelius was the son of John Andrew Bryan and the grandson of my seventh great grandfather Cornelius O'Bryan. So Enoch's father Cornelius Bryan was probably the first cousin of my fifth great grandfather Peter Bryan. Cornelius, Jacob, and Enoch George Jr. were all enumerated a second time back in Fairfield County. The second enumeration was in September. In the second enumeration, Cornelius and Jacob were living with their wives, and Enoch George Jr. was living with his brother Jacob. I have Cornlius's marriage listed as 23 Oct 1859 and Jacob's marriage listed as 23 Nov 1858. The double enumeration in the census makes me wonder if the marriage dates might be off a bit. |
