I believe that this Elmer Peters was the son of Harvey William Peters and Mary Jane (Margy) Essary. Elmer, son of Harvey, should have been 24 years old in 1930 rather than 29 years old. But this is the closest match I have found, and there was no Elmer Peters born in Tennessee about 1901. Harvey himself was living in Oklahoma at the time of the 1920 census, and Harvey moved to Arkansas about 1927. Harvey William Peters age 40 was the son of Thomas Blufford Peters and Mary Jane (Molly) Smith, and the grandson of Henry Clark (Clark) Peters and Perlina Ann Shilling. Henry Clark (Clark) Peters was one of mine, but there is a bit of uncertainty about his exact ancestry. Clark Peters was the son either of Henry Peters Jr. or of Thomas Peters. Henry Jr. and Thomas were brothers, and both of them were my fourth great grandfathers. |
