George H. Petree and his wife Cynthia (Syntha) Turner were from Anderson County, Tennessee. I have no known connections to them whatsoever. I include them only to provide a certain closure. In the 1850 Anderson County, Tennessee census they are often mis-transcribed as George Peters. I spent a lot of time trying to figure out how George Peters fits into my Peters family until I realized that George's surname was Petree |
