William Meredith Swaney age 6 0/12 married Roberta Pearl Nichols in 1949 in Cuyahoga County, Ohio. Roberta was the daughter of Wyatt McKinley (Mac) Nichols and Pearl Cummings, the granddaughter of Robert Russell Wyatt Nichols and Sarah Louisa Ida (Ida) McAndrew, and the great granddaughter of my second great grandparents John H. B. Nichols and Martha P. Reneau. As such, Robert Nichols was the brother of my great grandmother Clarissa Loretta (Retta or Rett) Nichols, and Mac Nichols was the first cousin of my grandmother Ruby Priscilla Cox.
