1865 Taxpayers, Anderson County, Tennessee

The 1865 tax list for Anderson County is incomplete is the last one that's extant until many years later. I don't know what happened after 1865 to cause subsequent tax lists to be missing. There were two tax lists in 1865 - the regular tax list and a special railroad tax list. They appear to be identical. I am not certain, but I believe the for a few years Anderson County collected extra taxes to invest in railroad bonds.
