Henry S. Catlett age 45 was the son of my fourth great grandparents Benjamin Catlett and Nancy Loveday/Lovelady. As such, Henry was the brother of my third great grandfather James P. Catlett. Henry was from Sevier County, and he moved from Sevier County to Blount County between 1860 and 1870. Henry's wife was Martha Andes age 34. Martha's surname is documented in the 1931 death certificate of their daughter Mary Jane Catlett. However, Henry and Martha's marriage was before the courthouse fire in Sevier County, so there is no courthouse marriage record. Also, I have not been able to determine the identity of Martha's parents. |
