Lillian Louise Cook age 6 married Lincoln DeWard Ellis before 1945. Lincoln was the son of Joseph Benjamin (Joe) Ellis and Daisy Mae Nichols, the grandson of Robert Russell Wyatt Nichols and Sarah Louise Ida (Ida) McAndrew, and the great grandson of my second great grandparents John H. B. Nichols and Martha P. Reneau. As such, Robert was the brother of my great grandmother Clarissa Loretta (Rett) Nichols, and Daisy was the first cousin of my grandmother Ruby Priscilla Cox. Lillian was the daughter of James Asbury (Asbury) Cook age 28 and Elsie Mae Gaddis. Elsie appears to have died about 1927 or 1928, but I have not been able to find a death or burial record for her. Worth Atkins age 48 and Callie age 47 were married 13 Sep 1914 in Monroe County. It was the second marriage for both of them. Asbury was the son of Callie and the stepson of Worth. The name of Asbury's father is not presently known. |
