Riley Jay (Jay) Cox age 30 was the son of James Nelson Cox and Emily Gertrude (Gertrude) Foshee and the grandson of Riley Cox and Mary Marinda (Marinda) PierceRiley was my third great grandfather, but Marinda was Riley's second wife and I am descended from Riley's first wife Frances (Franky) Price.  As such, James Nelson Cox was the half brother of my second great grandfather John Tivis Cox and Jay Cox was the (half) first cousin of my great grandfather George Jackson Cox.

In addition, Marinda Pierce was the daughter of my third great grandparents James E.
