Gussie May Bryan age 44 was the daughter of Daniel Horton (Dan) Bryan and Katherine Helena (Kitty) Bates, the granddaughter of Peter Lenoir Bryan and Anna Matilda (Matilda) Bates, the great granddaughter of William Bryan and Lucinda (Lucy) Cate, and the second great granddaughter of my fifth great grandparents Peter Bryan and Betty Hubbard. As such, William Bryan was my fourth great grand uncle, Peter Lenior Bryan was my first cousin five times removed, Dan Bryan was my second cousin four times removed, Gussie Bryan was my third cousin three times removed. It's actually a bit more complicated than that because Lucy Cate was the sister of my fourth great grandmother Nancy Cate who married William's brother Thomas C. Bryan Sr. Gussie married Andrew Edward Spradling age 51 about 1915.

Gussie's daughter Katherine A. Spradling age 23 married James L. Ridley age 23 about 1915.

Gussie married Andrew Edward Spradling on 24 Apr 1915 in Hamilton County, Tennessee. He was born 28 Aug 1888 in Hamilton County, Tennessee, the son of John Morgan Spradling and Elizabeth Catherine Fritts.
