John Looney age 81 was the son of Michael Looney and Temperance Cross, and the grandson of my fifth great grandparents William (Brittain) Cross and Alice Cole. As such, Temperance was the sister of my fourth great grandfather William Cross the Revolutionary War drummer boy. It's gratifying that Temperance's birthplace was correctly listed as Maryland (it was Baltimore County). John's wife was Elizabeth Johnson age 81. Orville Looney's wife was Elizabeth (Betty) Larkins age 29. Jackson Johnson age 21 was probably related to Elizabeth Johnson, perhaps a grandnephew, but this is not proven. |
