John Anderson Franklin Cox age 61 was the son of my great grandparents George Jackson Cox and Clarissa Loretta (Retta or Rett) Nichols. As such, Uncle John was the brother of my paternal grandmother Ruby Priscilla Cox.

John Cox married Mary Ann Slaton age 63 on 9 Dec 1906 in Jefferson County, Tennessee. Aunt Mary was the daughter of Francis Marion (Frank) Slaton and Mary Anne Moore and the granddaughter of my third great grandparents Thomas Fielden (Tom) Slaton and Rebecca Frances George. As such Frank was the brother of my second great grandmother Susan A. Slaton and Aunt Mary was the first cousin of my paternal grandfather Emmert Oral Bryan.

Their daughter Hazel Loretta Cox age 39 never married. She took over the operation of the farm after her parents were no longer able to run the farm and continued to live on the farm and manage it until her own death in 2004.

Their daughter Minnie Ethel (Ethel) Cox age 28 married Dr. James Andrew (Jim) Delozier on 16 Jun 1950 in Jefferson County, Tennessee. The Deloziers later moved to California.

Minnie Ann Cox age 64 was the daughter of my great grandparents George Jackson Cox and Clarissa Loretta (Rett) Nichols.  As such, Aunt Minnie was the sister of my grandmother Ruby Priscilla Cox.

Joseph Porter (Port) Slaton age 66 was the son of Francis Marion (Frank) Slaton and Mary Anne Moore.  As such, Uncle Port was the nephew of my second great grandmother Susan A. Slaton and the first cousin of my great grandmother Nancy Virginia (Nannie) Harrison.

Polly Ann Seals age 12 married Robert Earl (Bob) Ailey on 1 Jun 1956 in Morristown, Hamblen County, Tennessee.

Bob Ailey was the son of Arville Randolph Ailey and Alma Gertrude Slaton and the grandson of Joseph Porter (Port) Slaton and Minnie Ann Cox.

Port Slaton was the son of Francis Marion (Frank) Slaton and Mary Anne Moore and the grandson of my third great grandparents Thomas Fielden (Tom) Slaton and Rebecca Frances George. As such, Bob Ailey was my third cousin as a Slaton.

Minnie Cox was the daughter of my great grandparents George Jackson Cox and Clarissa Loretta (Rett) Nichols. As such, Bob Ailey was my second cousin as a Cox.

Port Slaton was the son of Francis Marion (Frank) Slaton and Mary Anne Moore, and the grandson of my third great grandparents Thomas Fielden (Tom) Slaton and Rebecca Frances George.  As such Frank was the brother of my second great grandmother Susan A. Slaton and Port was the first cousin of my grandfather Emmert Oral Bryan.

Minnie Cox was the daughter of my great grandparents George Jackson Cox and Clarissa Loretta (Rett) Nichols.  As such, Minnie was the sister of my grandmother Ruby Priscilla Cox, and Alma was my father's first cousin as a Cox.  She also was my father's second cousin once removed as a Slaton.

Arville Randolph Ailey age 39 was the son of Henry Houston Ailey and Mary Melvina (Molly) Carey.  Alma and Arville were married on 17 Feb 1929 in Jefferson County.
