------------------ Warranty Deed | This indenture made and entered into this A. Cox | 28th day of twenty Eighth December 1862 to | by and between A. Cox of the County of Roane Martha Yarnell | of the first part and Marth Cole of the County ------------------ of Knox of the second part all of the State of Tennessee. Witnessto the said A. Cox for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred Dollars to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath and by these presents doth bargain sell and convey and confirm alien in fee unto the said Martha Cole her heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the 19th civil district of Knox County State of Tennessee on the waters of Plum and Beaver Creeks adjoining the lands of G. Morris McCallum Murphy and others. Beginning on a stake in the Middle of Beaver Creek a conditional corner to A. Cox being opposite the Mouth of the Spring Branch on and belonging to the farm known as the old Shade Calloway farm, thence returning up said spring branch so as include on half of said spring to a stake a conditional corner in the Middle of said spring also the said M. Cole is to have the right to boath (sic) sides of said Branch to Build and hold a Milch House as near the spring as may be built thence with the lowest part of the ravine extending southward a conditional line to a stake in said ravine opposite C. Morrises and A. Coxes corners, two Black Oaks, thence a strait (sic) line to said Black Oak Corner thence south 9 degrees E twenty two poles to a stake and Black Oak pointers thence N. forty E. one hundred and sixteen to a stake in the Balls Camp line opposite a marked Sycamore thence N Fifty five W. twenty eight poles to a marked walnut tree N. Nineteen W. ten poles to the Middle of Plumb Creek, thence down the Middle of said Creek to a stake in the Middle of Beaver Creek, thence down the Middle of Beaver creek as it meanders to the Beginning said tract of land supposed to contain twenty five acres more or less with all and singular haditaments and appurtenances belonging thereto the same tract of land to the said Martha Cole her heirs and assigns forever and the said A. Cox for himself his heirs and assigns forever Will Warrant and defend the title to the said tract of land from all and every person or persons as an indefensible inheritance in fee simple. Norman on of the subscribing witnesses to the annexed instrument who being first sworn deposed and said that they are acquainted with A.
