My Peters family moved from Virginia to Anderson County, Tennessee in 1797. Some of them spilled over into Knox County at various times, primarily to the western part of the county that is across the Clinch River from Anderson County. There was another and apparently unrelated Peters family living in Knox County at the same time. The other Peters family lived primarily in the eastern part of Knox County or else in downtown Knoxville.
