Flora T. Cross was the daughter of Elijah J. Cross and Sarah Ann Reed.  Elijah was the son of David L. Cross and Mary (Polly) Himes.  David L. Cross was the son of my fourth great grandfather William Cross the Revolutionary War drummer boy.

Flora was born and died in Anderson County, Tennessee.  She married Allen T. Gardner in 1895 in Roane County.  Allen died in 1946 and Flora died in 1959.  Flora must have moved back to Anderson County after the death of her husband.

I'm not 100% sure if Flora's middle initial was T or F, but in the 1930 census it appears to have been an F.

         Leva 1/12 niece f s w TN TN TN

Alberta Walker was the widow of John Fred (Fred) England.  Fred had died shortly before the 1930 census was taken.

Overton County Roll Call, the Overton County cemetery book says that Alberta had two daughters, Oma and Mary.  I can only conclude that Leva and Mary must have been the same person.

Oma L. England was born about 1925.  In 1930, she was living in the home of John Mitchell (Mitch) Sisco (see dwelling number 194 below).  Mitch's wife was Fred's sister Rosetta Ann (Ann) England.  It appears that as a new widow with a new baby, Alberta had asked her sister-in-law Rosetta Ann England to take care of her older child at least for a while.

Fred England was the son of Luke L. England.  Luke was the son of my third great grandparents John England and Jane (Jennie) Peters.  As such, Luke was the brother of my second great grandmother Vesta Clay England.

Fred's death certificate says that his mother was Sarah Jones.  I'm somewhat suspicious of that data.  All other data that I have for Luke England suggests that his one and only wife was Letitia Parthena Smith.

Rosetta Siko (properly spelled Sisco) was the informant on the death certificate of Luke England from dwelling number 193 next door.  So she was Luke's daughter Rosetta Ann (Ann) England.  As such, Rosetta England was the niece of my second great grandmother Vesta Clay England, and the first cousin of my great grandmother Sallie Jane Cole.

Oma L. England age 4 4/12 was the daughter of John Fred (Fred) England and Alberta Walker.  Fred had died shortly before the 1930 census was taken, and Alberta had a newborn who was a month old at the time of the 1930 census.  So Rosetta was helping Alberta in her time of need by taking care of Oma.
