James Dennis (Dennis) Green age 25 was the son of A. B. (Abie) Green and Harriet Amelia (Hattie) Bryan, the grandson of Joseph Milton Bryan and Lena Leota Horton, the great grandson of James C. (Jim) Bryan and Sarah Ann Gulledge, the second great grandson of William Bryan and Lucinda (Lucy) Cate, and the third great grandson of my fifth great grandparents Peter Bryan and Betty Hubbard.  William and Lucy were the brother and sister, respectively of my fourth great grandparent Thomas C. Bryan Sr. and Nancy Cate.  So the cousins relationships the rest of the way down the family tree are double relationships - double first cousins, double second cousins, etc.  Which is to say, Jim Bryan was the double first cousin of my third great grandfather Peter H. Bryan, Joseph Milton Bryan was the double second cousin of my second great grandfather William Allen (Will) Bryan, Hattie Bryan was the double third cousin of my great grandfather William Harley (Harley) Bryan, and Dennis Green was the double fourth cousin of my grandfather Emmert Oral Bryan.

Dennis married Norma Phillips age 25 on 7 Jun 1939 in Watertown, Wilson County, Tennessee.  Norma was the daughter of Norman Cates Phillips and Mary Bernice Neal.
