My Williamson family moved from Moore County, North Carolina to Roane County, Tennessee. I haven't been able to identify exactly when they moved. They were enumerated in the 1860 census in Moore County, and in the 1880 census in Roane County. I really think of them as more of a Loudon County, Tennessee than as a Roane County family. I don't know exactly when they moved to Loudon County, but they were enumerated in the 1900 census in Loudon County.
Trion McFarland Williamson was my third great grandfather, and Alexander L. (Alex) Williamson was my second great grandfather. Just to confuse things on the move from North Carolina to Tennessee and the counties involved, Alex Williamson married my second great grandmother Maggie England in 1874 in Monroe County, Tennessee.
