George Burnette Johnson age 2 1/2 married Ruby Helen (Helen) Harrison on 6 Sep 1942 in Hamblen County.  Helen was the daughter of Daniel (Dan) Harrison and Mary Emily Ethel (Ethel) Cox.  Uncle Dan was the son of my second great grandparents Joseph (Joe) Harrison and Susan A. Slaton.  As such, Uncle Dan was the brother of my great grandmother Nancy Virginia (Nannie) Harrison.  Aunt Ethel was the daughter of my grandparents George Jackson Cox and Clarissa Loretta (Rett) Nichols.  As such, Aunt Ethel was the sister of my grandmother Ruby Priscilla Cox.  So Helen was my father's first cousin as a Cox and his first cousin once removed as a Harrison.

George Burnette Johnson was the son of Robert H. Johnson and Hafford Beryl (Beryl) Burnette.  George and his siblings were living in the household of Beryl's brother Emmett age 47 and sister Alma age 40.  It is not known exactly why the Burnette children were living with their aunt and uncle.  It is not known whether their father Robert died before 1930 or not.  Their mother Beryl died in 1957, so she was still living in 1930.  However, she has not been located in the 1930 census.
