John D. Peters was the son of Nathaniel Peters and Mary Elizabeth Sharp.  I am not aware of any connection between Nathaniel Peters and my Peters family of Anderson County, Tennessee.  John's wife was Sarah L. Cindy Damewood.

Some of the data in this census entry looks illogical or impossible on its face.  How could Sarah L. Cindy Damewood be 51 years old and have been married for 55 years?  She was in fact about 60 years old in 1910, and they had been married 45 years.

        Hugh L. 5 son m s w TN TN TN

Joseph S. Peters was the son of John D. Peters and Sarah L. Cindy Damewood who were living next door.

Dist. 4, Union County, Tennessee, 5 May 1910
p.107a, Tazewell Pike Road, family number 194
Popejoy Lucy 56 head f m1-41 w TN TN TN 5 children, 2 living
Peters Mary A. 76 mother f s w TN TN TN 1 child, 1 living

There are several mysteries about this census entry.  For example, if Lucy Popejoy was married rather than widowed, then where was her husband?  If Mary A. Peters was Lucy's mother, then why was Mary listed as single rather than widowed?  But in any case, I don't know how these women fit into the other Peters in Union County.  Presumably, Lucy was named Lucy Peters before she married Mr. Popejoy.

The original census sheet contains a little hand drawn arrow suggesting that Jane be moved directly under James H. in the enumeration.

James Hudson Peters was the son of William Carroll Peters and Emeline Kelly.  I don't know who William Carroll Peters was nor whether this family is connected to my Peters family of Anderson County, Tennessee.

Martin L. Peters was the son of William Carroll Peters and Emeline Kelly.  I don't know who William Carroll Peters was nor whether this family is connected to my Peters family of Anderson County, Tennessee.

Laura Bridges was Martin's second wife, and she was the mother of Ophelia and Clyda Lee.
