Lettice Tunnell was the daughter of William Tunnell II and Mary Maysey. In 1830, Lettice was the widow of James Worthington who died in 1813. In 1816, she had an out of wedlock child with Brittain Cross of Anderson County, Tennessee. The child's name is not given in the bastardy case, but the child was Miriam Worthington. Subsequently, Lettice had an out of wedlock child named Lunsford H. Worthington whose father was Lunsford Oliver. |

This is the only George Cole or George Coal I can find anywhere in Tennessee in the 1830 census. I am curious because there was an 1815 deed in Knox County, Tennessee for a George Coal. I don't know who either one of them was, nor if they were the same person or not. |

I do not know who this William Worthington was, but it seems likely that he had a connection with Lettice Worthington from p.360. |
