Martha Jane Austin married Samuel Rutherford (Rutherford) Peters in 1871 in White County, Tennessee. Rutherford Peters was the son of Robert Ichabod Peters and Amanda Davidson, and was a great grandson of Tobias Peters Sr. and Elizabeth Rachel Scarborough of Anderson County, Tennessee. Martha's parents were William Henry Austin and Jane (Jincy) Phifer. |
