Harce Lewis (Slim) Cross age 38 was my sixth cousin once removed. All his children were my seventh cousins. So they were very distant relatives. Our common ancestors were my sixth great grandparents John Cross and Dinah Lane. John and Dinah were Harce's fifth great grandparents. Harce was descended through John and Dinah's son Solomon Cross Sr. I am descended through John and Dinah's son William (Brittain) Cross. |
Harce married Opal Davis age 34 on 12 Dec 1919. Opal was the daughter of Hezekiah Davis and Ama Rittie Copeland. Even though this census entry says that Harce was born in Texas, I believe that he was born in Tennessee based on previous census entries. |
