Eddie Wait Hoyt age 14 married Harold Temple Bray about 1932. Harold was the son of William Webster (W.W. or Billy) Bray and Rhoda Amos, and the grandson of my second great grandparents Joseph A (Joe) Bray and Ferriba Salina (Salina) Moore. As such, Uncle Billy was the brother of my great grandmother Mary Mahala Jane (Mahala or Haley) Bray and Harold was the first cousin of my grandmother Lola Ethel Williamson. Eddie was the daughter of William W. Hoyt age 53 and Sarah Elizabeth (Elizabeth) Trull age 39. |

William Webster (Billy or W.W.) Bray age 38 was the son of my second great grandparents Joseph A. (Joe) Bray and Ferriba Salina (Salina) Moore. As such, Uncle Billy was the brother of my great grandmother Mary Mahala Jane (Mahala or Haley) Bray. Uncle Billy always referred to himself as "W. W. Bray" or as "W. W. Bray of Texas". Belle Clark age 30 was Uncle Billy's wife. Belle was the daughter of W. T. Clark, and I believe that the W. T. Clark age 52 in this census entry was Belle's mother, Mrs. W. T. Clark if you will. Mr. W. T. Clark had died before 1900, and he was Belle's father. Belle's death certificate says that her mother was Anna Bell. It is not clear from the death certificate if Bell was Anna's surname or middle name. The logical conclusion from this census entry is that Sara Sweeney age 80 was Anna's mother. However, the birth places for W. T. Clark's mother does not say Kentucky. So clearly, something is amiss. |
