Henry Franklin (Frank) Peters age 25 was the son of Rutherford Peters and Mary S. Derrick of Roane County, Tennessee. Rutherford was the son of James Peters and the grandson of Tobias Peters Sr. I am not descended from Tobias Peters Sr., but Henry Peters Sr. was my fifth great grandfather. Tobias Peters Sr. and Henry Peters Sr. of Anderson County, Tennessee are suspected of having been brothers, but this has never been proven. Frank's wife was Margaret (Maggie) Murray age 20. William Peters age 1 was Willie Eaton Peters. His descendants believe that his name really was Willie rather than William, and that Willie was not just a nickname for William. |
