Benjamin Leach (Ben) Peters Sr. age 59 was the son of Tobias Peters Jr. and Martha Miranda (Marthy) Mays, and the grandson of Tobias Peters Sr. and Elizabeth Rachel Scarborough. There is no proven connection between the Tobias Peters Sr. line of Anderson County, Tennessee and my three Peters lines in Anderson County which all go back to Henry Peters Sr. However, Tobias Sr. and Henry Sr. are suspected of having been brothers, and DNA evidence suggests that they were closely related. Ben's wife was Amanda C. Hacker age 60. Ben and Amanda were married on 16 Sep 1879 in Roane County, Tennessee. |
