Withers Clark Adkins age 7 later married Mary Ailene (Ailene) Jones. Ailene was the daughter of Guy Alonzo Jones and Menta Reese (Recie) Peters. Reese was the daughter of Robert A. Peters and Mollie I. Cole. As such, Reese was the double first cousin of my grandfather Ernest Lester (Lester) Peters Sr. Withers appears to have been the son of Eugene M. Adkins Sr. and an unknown mother. Eugene appears to have married about 1921 (he was still single in the 1920 census), and his wife appears to have died between 1926 and 1930. |
